• About Us

  • The Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization made up of companies, organizations and individuals in business.

    Our mission is to create an environment in Rohnert Park in which businesses can thrive economically, socially and culturally and to improve the overall quality of life in the community.

    The Chamber began in the summer of 1962 and was incorporated in 1963 as a 501(c)6 nonprofit corporation. It is staffed by professional staff and governed by a volunteer board of directors.

    The Chamber plays a multi-faceted role to accomplish its mission, including:

    • Economic development consultant and adviser for businesses;
    • Information center for new residents and tourists;
    • Spokesperson and advocate for businesses;
    • Counselor in economics, marketing and human resources;
    • Public relations expert;
    • Publicist for the City and community of Rohnert Park.

    Business-Building Opportunities

    The Chamber provides business-building opportunities for members through active participation in events and through various committees and task forces. Members can choose from activities that best compliment their talents, skills, interests and business profiles. Involvement builds goodwill and accomplishes community goals.

    Reaching Customers and Clients

    Opportunities for promotion and advertising are available through sponsorship of the popular Noon Times Luncheons, the Women in Business Program, the annual Spring Business Showcase, monthly After-Hours Mixers and quarterly seminars. Advertising is also available in newsletters and business-to-business email blasts and on the Chamber website. Members are automatically listed in the website directory.

    Referrals

    Chamber member information is included in relocation packets. Phone referrals are made daily.

    Economic Development and Planning

    This key function supports the Chamber’s mission of creating an environment in which businesses can prosper. The Chamber wrote the city’s first economic development plan; a four-year plan that focuses on business retention and attraction, promotion of city and private recreational opportunities, and a community information and education program that encourages support of local businesses.

  • Noon Times Luncheons
    The Chamber offers this monthly program to the community as a way to stay informed of local, regional and state news. Presented by people who make the news, this fast-paced, action-packed lunch program puts business, government and educators together.

    Women in Business
    The Chamber offers a Women in Business program that is created by women for women. There is an event on the second Tuesday of each month. On odd months there is an evening mixer at a member location, and on even months there is a luncheon with a speaker at Sally Tomatoes Catering & Event Center. Our mission is to encourage and enhance the development and growth of women doing business.

    Monthly After Hours Mixers
    People do business with people they know. These informal social gatherings provide opportunities for Chamber members to get to know each other and showcase their businesses by being hosts.

    Annual Fundraiser Events
    The Chamber organizes four large fundraiser events annually: in the Spring, we hold our Crab Feed and Silent Auction and our Annual Business Showcase; and in December we hold our Holiday Lights Celebration.
